Become A Vital Part of Eastport’s Arts Community

Our theater is going through a revitalization. This is thanks to renewed interests in the theater from both longtime residents and new arrivals as well as the investment in a paid artistic director. Over this season and the next our focus is on building the infrastructure to capitalize on this newfound interest. We are building a strong and knowledgable company of actors, directors, designers, stage mangers, and on. 

We are not a major institution receiving enormous grants. We do not have a big staff to carry out our mission. In fact, Mark Macey, our current artistic director, is the first staff member in Stage East’s 30-year history. Our theater exists because of the dedicated efforts a handful of deeply generous and passionate volunteers. 

We’ve got the people; now we need the funds. Your donations help support our artistic efforts, help us to reduce ticket prices, and will ensure that our ambitious plans for 2021-22 will come to fruition.

Stage East is a constituent program of Eastport Arts Center for which we pay an annual fee. Donations to Stage East and EAC are two separate funds.
